An Invitation to Pray

As we enter into this final week of prayer leading up to Pentecost Sunday (May 19^th), we pray for a witness movement among disciples of all nations, all generations, and all tongues. Please join us as we lift our hearts to God, seeking His guidance and empowerment in this ongoing prayer initiative.

WEEK SEVEN: Witness

 May 12^th - 18^th

 Scripture Focus: Romans 10: 8-20

• Pray that all disciples of Jesus would keenly hear God's call and command to be His witnesses in the world.
• Pray that God would utilize Simply Mobilizing to stir His people, awakening them to His divine mission.
• Pray for the realization of Simply Mobilizing's vision: To witness all God's people on mission with God. This is much bigger than offering courses!
• Pray for courage and wisdom as we transition from hosting mere 'events' to catalyzing a movement of mobilized disciples.
• Pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily through every course and training session, equipping and empowering an army of mobilizers daily, actively engaged in God's mission everyday!

Praying through Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday (March 31^st - May 19^th)

While we are scattered across Canada, we want to pray TOGETHER. There are several ways we hope to facilitate that: 

1. All Together Online: Mark your calendars and join us.
   • Tuesday, April 2^nd - 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET: Register for this event on Course Manager and the link will be sent to you.
   • Wednesday, May 15^th - 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET Register for this event on Course Manager and the link will be sent to you.
      
2. Together in Regional or Language Group Gatherings: In person or online.
   • Check with your Coordinator to find out more.
      
3. Together Each Day: Set your alarm and pray together:
   • 10:02 – Luke 10:2 invites us to pray that the Lord of the Harvest will thrust out workers.
   • 15:02 – John 15:2 reminds us that the Father is a master gardener who prunes what is unfruitful so that we will be more fruitful.
      
4. Together Each Week: Using our prayer themes (posted weekly).

Lorna Johnston is the Diaspora Ministries Leader at Outreach Canada. She leads two national teams -- Simply Mobilizing Canada (SMC) and Loving Muslims Together (LMT). She works with teams of diverse and experienced leaders and ministries across Canada to alert and activate the church in Canada to the changing opportunities to engage God's mission right here in Canada.
